Frequently asked questions.
What is the price for our services?
Each project is different and therefore will have a unique quote. A baseline price of $70 can be expected for a smaller Bible with a goatskin cover, synthetic interior liner, and no restoration needed to the text block. We do not know of a more competitive price out there. A typical Bible with moderate restoration and a leather liner as well will be around $150. Again, this is a very competitive rate. If pricing is an insurmountable hurdle, please don’t hesitate to reach out, because we are dedicated to doing whatever is in our power to get your Bible restored.
How long does a project normally take?
Once payment is received, one Bible typically takes 2-4 weeks. The biggest reason for waiting is the unique leather ordered for every Bible.
What does it look like to get a new Bible rebound? Why would someone want or need this
There are a lot of nice Bible binderies out there, but sometimes the options are limited for text blocks and color ways for the leather. If you wanted a new Bible, we would take extra care to find the right text block for you. This would mean questions such as 1 or two columns, reference bible, paragraph bible, large print, and so on. After finding the best text for you, we would then find the perfect color and pattern of leather to make a Bible made for you. This would also make a unique and thoughtful gift.
How do you get your Bible to us? How will you get it back?
We are based in the Northwest in Springfield, OR. The customer will provide means of shipping to us and we would provide shipping for the Bible’s journey home
How do I put in an order?
Go to the main page. At the bottom, you can put in a request for a consultation. Alternatively, you can contact us on Facebook.
Why do we do this? What is Partin Leather’s goal?
I love the Bible. I began collecting premium Bibles in Bible College and found the market to be way larger than I imagined. I also thought it would be wonderful to be able to provide a nice, leather cover to some classic pieces of literature sitting on fellow book lovers shelves with cheap covers. More than this passion, I have a heart for church planting as well. Partin Leather represents a marriage of these passions, as I wish to put the funds of this business towards being a self-supporting church planter, with the LORD’s help. I enjoy each Bible (or book) I get to rebind and rejoice as I take one step closer to my dream of planting a church in the Northwest.
